Falkirk Free Church is located next to, and visible from, Carron roundabout.
Carron roundabout is to be found of the west side of Carronshore, which is itself to the north-east of Falkirk. These directions should enable you to navigate to this roundabout, at which point you can see the church building itself.

Use this from Bonnybridge or Denny.

(or as an alternative route from Glasgow)

By this route you will be navigating by identifiable roundabouts.

Enter Falkirk under the Railway Bridge just after the Three Bridges Roundabout at the Falkirk Wheel. Travel east along Glasgow Road. You are in now in Camelon.
The first roundabout is Camelon roundabout. Approach this from the right-hand lane and take the 2nd exit, which is straight ahead (east).
The next roundabout is Rosebank roundabout. Approach in the left-hand lane and take the 1st exit left (A9), now heading in a northerly direction. The next roundabout is Merchiston roundabout. Again, approach by the left-hand lane and take the 1st exit left, now heading north.
Continue on this road till another small roundabout. Continue straight-ahead 2nd exit. You should be on Ronades Road and should pass some small flats on the right-hand side, then a large Co-op, then Lidl.
The next roundabout is busy. Approach slowly and watch for cars coming from your right. Take the 1st exit left. (North B902) up Carron Road which becomes Dovecothall Street. You will pass a petrol station on the left-hand side. The final roundabout is Carron roundabout. The church will be on your right. Take the last exit (4th) and then immediately next right into Carrongrove Road (Bowling Club). Immediately right again onto Beaumont Drive (opposite Carron Buildbase) and the church should be a few metres ahead on your right.

    From GLASGOW

    From (M80) Cumbernauld

From Glasgow take the M80 past Cumbernauld then the M876 in the left-hand lane just up the hill from the Castlecary arches. On the M876 ignore the Falkirk signs without panic and continue up the hill and take the junction 2 turn off for Larbert, just after you go under a bridge at the top of a hill. At the end of the Larbert exit you will meet a roundabout. This is North Broomage roundabout. Having left this roundabout this route goes straight on through 3 more roundabouts along the Bellsdyke Road (A88) following Grangemouth signs. These are in turn: Bellsdyke roundabout, Inches Roundabout, and Tryst Roundabout. Basically you keep going straight on past these and past the golf course until you get to the end of the houses. At the end of the road you will meet another roundabout called Antonshill roundabout at which you should take the 2nd exit following Carron signs (to the right). From there go straight on through the next Roughlands roundabout (2nd exit) following signs for Carron on the New Carron Road (B902 south) which will take you down a hill with a view over Falkirk and Grangemouth.
You may see the Stenhousemuir Sports Centre on your right. You will then arrive at the Carron roundabout. The church may be visible from the roundabout. (The top picture above is from New Carron Road). Take the first left (Carronshore - see picture above) then immediately next right into Carrongrove Road (Bowling Club). Immediately turn right again onto Beaumont Drive (opposite Carron Buildbase) and the church should be a few metres ahead on your right.

    From STIRLING

    From (A9) Stirling Bypass

At the Greencornhills roundabout take the A9 south through Plean. Continue through Torwood and turn left (1st usable exit) at the North Broomage roundabout. Having left this roundabout this route goes straight on through 3 more roundabouts along the Bellsdyke Road (A88) following Grangemouth signs. These are in turn: Bellsdyke roundabout, Inches Roundabout, and and Tryst Roundabout.

From the M9 in either direction

From M9 Edinburgh or M9 Dunblane

From the M9 in either direction follow signs for Kincardine Bridge Junction 7 and take the M876 towards Kincardine. Do not cross the bridge. If you do, then turn round on the far side and head back. At M876 junction 3 (A905) turn right (south) towards Grangemouth/Skinflats. You should be on a dual carriageway. At the next roundabout turn right (west) onto the Bellsdyke Road (A88).
Continue till you meet the Antonshill roundabout and turn 1st left (south) on the New Carron Road (B902 south) which will take you down a hill with a view over Falkirk and Grangemouth.
Immediately right again onto Beaumont Drive (opposite Carron Buildbase) and the church should be a few metres ahead on your right.

    From the East (except M9)

    From Grangemouth and Polmont

If you approach Falkirk from the east, chances are you will run into one of a series of roundabouts that run on a line south to north.

These roundabouts are, from south to north:

Mary St. (Laurieston, next to Benny T's chip shop),

Bog roundabout (if you have come off the M9, or come via the south of Grangemouth)

    Westfield Roundabout (from Grangemouth)

If you arrive at any of these roundabouts then the directions are simple and the same. Follow the brown tourist signs for the Falkirk Wheel and /or the Mariner Centre. Keep going straight ahead and follow the road as it curves westward. If you pass through the Etna Road roundabout and the Abbots roundabout you are doing well. This road will allow you to pass cleanly through Falkirk itself at a giddy 40mph without getting snarled up in nasty one-way systems and queues of traffic at lights. Follow the signs for the Wheel until you get to Merchiston roundabout where you will slow down to 30mph and turn right heading north.
Continue on this road till another small roundabout. Continue straight-ahead 2nd exit. You should pass some small flats on the right-hand side, then a large Co-op, then Lidl.
The next roundabout is busy. Approach slowly and watch for cars coming from your right. Take the 1st exit left. (North B902).
